Happy Easter

Hope you had a lovely Easter Break. It's been  lovely to have a 5 day holiday, shame about the weather !! We have managed two trips to the dog beach in sunshine , so really shouldn't complain.

I have had lots of fun makingt these Easter Gifts using the Mini Milk Carton die. I was inspired by my team member Ariane, who made this beautiful Christmas Gift Box.

I was going to post the Easter cards I made in my classes but realise I gave them all away before I took photos. Silly me.

I will be posting cards using the new products from  the Autumn Mini catalogue soon. I love the French Foliage stamp set which is very appropriate for this time of year.

Thanks for visiting.

Ways to use the new Stampin' Up! Pom Pom trim

I thought I would try and show you a few different ways to use the new Pom Pom trim. It comes in three different colours, Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight. I am demonstrating the Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango.
The first card is a 4 " by 4" card embossed with the new Framed Tulip embossing folder. The embossing has been reduced to fit the card. (n.b. there are many tutorials on the net to show you how to do this). Then I have used the new Strength and Hope Stamp for the butterfly and words. A piece of Pom Pom trim has been attached to the middle, it doesn't fray so no need to tuck under the card. A very simple way to use the trim

Another Card using this simple technique.

The trim also makes a nice frame with plenty of texture !

As the trim doesn't fray I tried cutting up the Pom Pom's and came up with these ideas. Firstly they make a nice furry looking body for the butterfly, like this

You can wind the trim around and come up with a centre for a flower

Lastly I made these tiny flowers with a contrasting centre.

Well that’s all from me.  Next stop on the INKlings’ Team Blog Hop is Clare.  Have fun and don't forget to leave a comment on each blog to win some great Blog Candy.
