I have been making a lot of Autumn cards lately but have decided that I miss the bright colours of summer. This card is sort of a mixture of Autumn and Summer I guess.
I used the Eastern Blooms stamp set and Real Red, Baja Breeze, Choc Chip and Pumpkin Pie inks. The flowers didn't take long to cut out and were finished with white chunky glitter in the middle.

Autumn Leaves
Last weekend I went on a Bike riding day to Victoria where the Autumn leaves were just beautiful. The bike trail was on an old rail way line between Beechworth and Bright. As you can imagine being on a railway line it was pretty flat, just my style. I will have to admit I only did the part between Mytleford and Bright, about 30 kms. The men did the whole way, over 100 kms ! I wouldn't have been able to sit down for a month afterwards.
Anyway all the beautiful leaves inspired me to make this card. It was based on a card we made at the recent convention in Canberra using the Trendy Trees stamp set.
This is a picture of Bright in Victoria which is famous for its Autumn leaves.

Kraft Paper and Taffeta Ribbon
We made this card in my May class using an embossing technique. The card is made from Kraft paper and the Kraft Taffeta ribbon matches perfectly ! I have sample packs of Taffeta ribbon for sale this month for $15. This includes 1 metre each of nine colours.
I used Good Friends stamp set which has this lovely Dandelion type flower and a very cute bird.
More cards soon.

Happy Mothers Day !!
I hope you are having a wonderful day and are being spoilt rotten. I have had a lovely bunch of flowers and a cooked breakfast made for me by my son, very spoilt.
My mother passed away nearly a year ago so it also is a sad day. However i do have a lovely mother in-law , Gwen. Today we are all going to her house for a BBQ. Not sure if it will be an 'Outdoor-indoor BBQ ' as Mrs Bucket would put it (from Keeping Up Appearances) as its been pouring down with rain this morning. Although the sun is out at the moment, you never know the weather might improve.
I made this card for Gwen using two in colours, Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss.
The stamp sets i used were Wonderful Favourites and Bloomin' with Beauty.
Have a wonderful day.

Scrapbook page for Shelli
As a gift for Shelli Gardner, the CEO of Stampin' Up!, to give her at the convention in Canberra my team gave a scrapbook about what Stampin' Up! means to us. Team members made a page each outlining what Stampin' Up! means to them. For me the best thing is definitely all the new friends I have made, both fellow demonstrators and customers.
This flower was made from cut outs from the Die Cut set, so quick and easy.
This picture didn't come out too well, definitely looks better in real life. The All in the Family Stamp set is just great for making people cards, so flexible.

Hopefully i will post more scrapbooking pages soon. Something i put off but love it when i get going.
Hope you are having a lovely weekend.

Back from Convention !!!
Just got back from the Convention in Canberra. It was a fun two days packed with ideas and inspiration for lots of new classes and workshops. Its always a great time to catch up with lots of friends and make lots of new friends as well.
I was very lucky to share an apartment with three other demonstrators that I hadn't met before, and spend time with my new downline, Ariane. We had so much fun. This is us dressed up in all our finery for the Awards and Recognition Banquet. Clockwise from left to right Ariane, Mandy, Alana, me and Kerryl.
I will try and post more about the convention in the following days.
