Bush Fire Appeal Update

Stampin' Up! have just announced that so far from the sales of the Bushfire Appeal stamp sets, they will already be able to donate $15,744.85 to the Australian Red Cross Victorian Bushfires 2009 Appeal. Thank you everyone who has bought a stamp set.

I will be giving my 20% to the appeal aswell . So for every Bushfire Appeal stamp set you purchase from me, approx. 70% will go to the Bushfire appeal.

Live Your Dream

I made this card last month for a friends birthday. I tried to make it softer and more feminine for a change. Not usually my style but it was nice to make something a bit different.

I used the Live Your Dream stampset which is one of the stamp sets that Stampin' Up ! is giving 50% to the bush fire appeal. I am giving my 20% too so infact 70% will go to the bush fire appeal.
Its a very versatile stamp set and great for quick cards. A good basic stamp set to have in the cupboard.

Bushfire Appeal

Join with Stampin' Up ! and Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around Australia and New Zealand in helping the victims of the Bushfire tragedy.

You can help by purchasing select stamp sets from 12 February until 31 st March 2009, and Stampin' Up! will donate 50% of the sales of these sets to the Australian Red Cross Victorian Bushfires 2009 Appeal.
I will also be donating my 20% commission on each stamp set so about 70 % will go to the Red Cross. Let's try and make a difference to the people in Victoria who have nothing.

Kwerner Colour Challenge #40

This weeks challenge I found a bit tricky but i guess that's the idea to stretch our use of colour.

Anyway this is what I finally came up with

I used the Bodacious Bouquet stamp set which I have to say is still one of my favourites. The centre flower has chunky glitter just to bring it alive. The happy birthday message is made from three large oval punched card stock.

February Technique Class

This month i am holding my first technique classes for 2009. I will be teaching several different methods to use with chipboard. Chipboard adds another dimension to your cards and is lots of fun.

I will show you how to make at least 4 different cards including the one shown above.

Dates are as follows :

Tuesday 17th February 7.30 pm.

Love the Bird !

I fell in love with this funny bird when i found it on Donna's website, Butternut Sage Designs

I am going to use it as a Valentines Day card but it could have many uses. I used the Pick a Petal stamp set and many different round punches.

The eyes are made of black buttons. It should have black stamens as wild eye brows but i am still on the look out for them. Love to know if anyone knows where i could buy some.
